Thanks to Succession, Sarah Snook will always be known as Shiv Roy. But could you imagine her as Lisbeth Salander? It almost happened. According to Snook, she came down to the finals with Rooney Mara for David Fincher’s English-language Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Sarah Snook | Macall B. Polay/HBO Snook was a guest on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast on August 19. Discussing her career leading up to the Emmy-nominated Succession, Snook included her close call with Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Succession Season 4 is now filming. Before ‘Succession,’ Sarah Snook was almost ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Noomi Rapace was the first on screen Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy. When David Fincher made his American version, ultimately released in 2011, he cast Rooney Mara. “It was between myself and Rooney Mara,” Snook said on Awards Chatter. “That could also just be, you get told these things. Hey, well, I didn’t get it. That’s the end of the story. But actually, philosophically, at the time I had this opinion anyway, I was quite happy I didn’t’ get it. I was quite young and quite green and very wide-eyed I think in a way. I think I would’ve been a very different actor now had I got that role at such a young age.” ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ might have been too much for Sarah Snook too soon Snook graduated from the National Institute of... https://collider.com/yorick-van-wageningen-the-girl-with-the-dragon-tattoo/.

tattoo shop required. The new technology is in the form of a skin patch that has microneedles. Georgia Tech / SWNS “Because the microneedles are made of tattoo ink, they deposit the ink in the skin very efficiently,” said Dr. Song Li, a senior research scientist at Micron Biomedical and co-author of the study published in iScience. Dr. Prausnitz added: “We’ve miniaturized the needle so that it’s painless, but still effectively deposits tattoo ink in the skin.” Other than the benefit of not having to sit under a needle, these tattoo patches are less intrusive, which means there’s a lower risk of infection. While the study found that the tattoos are likely to be permanent, they can also be made with temporary tattoo ink for those who don’t want to make that decision. Though these skin patches can be revolutionary and extremely appealing, the researchers don’t want to discredit the hard work of tattoo artists. Georgia Tech / SWNS While some will be excited that the new technology will help them finally be able to get tattoos pain-free, the skin patches can also help with medical and veterinary tattooing. Tattoos are often used to guide repeated cancer radiation treatments, cover up scars, and communicate serious medical conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes or allergies. The environmental reaction feature allows patients some privacy and can hide the tattoo unless it’s under ultraviolet lights or high temperatures. The non-invasive tattoos can also be used to help pets. Instead of clipping their... .

look at another one. Much of episode 3 is focused on the celebration around Prince Aegon Targaryen’s 2nd name day. Instead of being allowed just to enjoy his son’s birthday, King Viserys (Paddy Considine) is facing two political quandaries as he’s being pressured to make Aegon his heirbecause, with a son, the realm can return to tradition and precedent of only male heirsand to find a suitable husband for his daughter Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock), who has no interest in getting married. But the bigger setpiece of the episode involves Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) and Daemon Targaryen’s (Matt Smith) war in the Stepstones, the stretch of islands controlled by Craghas Crabfeeder. What is a stalemate for much of the episode finally comes to a head as Daemon walks alone onto the battlefield, seemingly to give himself up or embark on a suicide mission before he singlehandedly takes down much of the Crabfeeder’s forces. When it seems like his cause is lost, the rest of his forces arrive with a dragonrider in the sky. But Daemon didn’t suddenly hop on Caraxes’ back: It’s Corlys’ son Laenor (Theo Nate) on a different dragon named Seasmoke. How can Laenor ride a dragon? Like most things on House of the Dragon regarding inheritance or what a character can and cannot do, it really comes down to Targaryen ancestry. While House Velaryon is a household whose origins go back to Old Valyria, Corlys himself admitted that being a Velaryon didn’t automatically signify being able to ride... .

"I can say this much, we very much wanted to keep the DNA alive for House of the Dragon from the original show," Djawadi told Entertainment Weekly ahead of the show's premiere. "We will hear themes that we remember from the original show, but because it's all new characters, this is 200 years before, there is a ton of new material I've written, a lot of new themes that we will hear." What else will be the same?

She’s married to Corlys “The Sea Snake” Velaryon in a love match that consolidates a ton of the realm’s wealth and power into one badass mega-family. However, her claim to the Iron Throne (as well as the claim of her son Laenor) was passed over in favor of her younger cousin Viserys. Was that a bad move?
