The walls were packed with pieces representing different companies and locations in Philadelphia, while the windows housed custom tattoo stencils of different styles. The multifaceted group of pieces came together to perfectly represent the studio they came from, True Hand Society a place that proves molding together unexpected things can produce remarkable results.  The four artists that run True Hand Society studio came to West Chester University on Sept. 13 to introduce their exhibit, but also to provide invaluable advice to art students by sharing their journeys up to that point. True Hand Society, located in Philadelphia, specializes in both graphic design in the form of branding and custom tattoos, which may seem like an unlikely combination. Yet, the artists, Mike Ski, Jessie Jay, Vic Steinman and Julianna Lose showed how one artform worked to strengthen the other.  The artists were introduced to an auditorium filled with over 40 attendees by Professor David Jones, who helped make the exhibit possible, and described it as being “filled with nuance and character” and as showing off True Hand Society’s “trademark juxtaposition of both the novel and the nostalgic.” The artists themselves were friendly and laid-back people who seemed just as excited to speak to the audience as the students were to listen.  Each of the four speakers detailed their journey as an artist and how each factor led them... .
