Besides the design you chose, another part of proudly showing off a tattoo is reminding others of all the pain you endured to get it. But that might not always be the case, as researchers from the Georgia Institute of Technology have found a way to borrow a new medical technology to create self-applied tattoos that don’t cause any pain at all. What gives tattoos their permanence is also what makes getting inked so painful. Tattoo artists use needles to inject tiny drops of ink into the dermis layer of the skin, just below the surface, so that no matter how many layers of skin naturally come off over time, the ink remains safely trapped beneath that self-replenishing outer layer. Pain is a big part of the experience of getting a tattoo, but not everyone goes through that process by choice. Tattoos are often used as a medical tool, too. For example, cancer patients going through repeated radiation therapy treatments are tattooed with small reference marks allowing the machines, and radiation beams, to be quickly, accurately, and safely targeted each time. Tattoos can also be used to help camouflage post-surgery scars, or provide permanent warnings about serious medical conditions for some patients. That led a team of researchers from the Georgia Institute of Technology to come up with a way to use microneedle technology as an alternative tattooing technique. As the name implies, microneedles are small enough to inject drugs or medications into the dermis layer of the... https://www.pinterest.com/xbodyisacanvas/aztec-tattoo-designs/.

are used instead. In its current form, the microneedle approach seems like a promising alternative to traditional tattoo techniques when it comes to marking patients, or even livestock (as farmers need to do), but it’s not yet a full replacement for getting inked by a talented artist. The microneedle arrays are relatively small and lack the density to produce high-fidelity imagery. But as the technology is gradually improved, the process of getting a ‘real’ tattoo may one day be no different than that of the temporary tattoos you used to apply as a kid.Celebrities, just like normal folks, are known to get tattoos. While a celebrity sporting new ink isn’t exactly newsworthy in this day and age, some brave souls are going a step further. I’m talking, of course, about the subtle face tattoos seen on celebs like Cardi B, Halsey, and Justin Bieber. Those with phobias of needles can now get tattoos without having to worry. Scientists have developed a way to get a permanent tattoo without going under the needle and suffering through hours of pain. The new technology is in the form of a skin patch that has microneedles smaller than grains of sand. While it still has “needle” in the name, these microscopic needles are of no comparison to the ordinary needles one would have to endure and the impact is painless and bloodless. “While some people are willing to accept the pain and time required for a tattoo, we thought others might prefer a... https://www.pinterest.ca/garrity1889/aztec-tattoo-designs/.

Nelson’s plan, according to the prosecution, was to use excessive force against people who were suspected of a minor crime and disrespectful or disobedient toward Nelson. The prosecution referred to the report by former Seattle Police Chief James Pugel, who found over a dozen incidents in which Nelson escalated situations to use unnecessary force. Larson brought up audio in which Nelson can be heard saying, “I take the biggest and baddest and make an example out of them,” as further evidence of this plan. The prosecution argued that as part of his plan Nelson exaggerated the threat each person posed in order to justify his use of force in his official police reports. Nelson’s defense attorney, Emma Scanlan, argued the incidents of Nelson’s previous use of force that the prosecution was referring to.

He previously had the text "Jaciyah" tattooed to his left pec but had that covered with some tribal art a few years ago.  Jey has previously credited designer Michael Fatutoa at the Sacred Tatau tattoo studio for most of his inks. In recent weeks, WWE has teased tensions between Jey and "The Honorary Uce" Sami Zayn on the "SmackDown" brand.

(Image credit: Public Doman: Wiki/National Gallery of Art) Born in around A.D. 240  to an aristocratic Palmyrene family, Zenobia (her name may have been Bat-Zabbai or Na’ilah in her own language) married Septimius Odenathus at the age of 17 or 18. He was an important local aristocrat, an experienced general and the military commander of Palmyra. Odenathus was already a widower and had a son, Septimius Hairan (or Haeranes) Herodianus, by his first marriage. Zenobia would also give Odenathus a son, Septimius Vaballathus, born between A.D. 258 and 260; there may also have been more sons, Septimius Antiochus, Herennianus, Timolaus and possibly another Hairan. We are also told of two daughters.  Although no known statue or likeness of Zenobia can be identified with confidence, her portrait survives on coins and... .

the need for hypodermic needles. "We saw this as an opportunity to leverage our work on microneedle technology to make tattoos more accessible," Prausnitz said. "While some people are willing to accept the pain and time required for a tattoo, we thought others might prefer a tattoo that is simply pressed onto the skin and does not hurt." Transforming tattooing Tattoos typically use large needles to puncture repeatedly into the skin to get a good image, a time-consuming and painful process. The Georgia Tech team has developed microneedles that are smaller than a grain of sand and are made of tattoo ink encased in a dissolvable matrix. "Because the microneedles are made of tattoo ink, they deposit the ink in the skin very efficiently," said Li, the lead author of the study. In this way, the microneedles can be pressed into the skin just once and then dissolve, leaving the ink in the skin after a few minutes without bleeding. Tattooing technique Although most microneedle patches for pharmaceuticals or cosmetics have dozens or hundreds of microneedles arranged in a square or circle, microneedle patch tattoos imprint a design that can include letters, numbers, symbols, and images. By arranging the microneedles in a specific pattern, each microneedle acts like a pixel to create a tattoo image in any shape or pattern. The researchers start with a mold containing microneedles in a pattern that forms an image. They fill the microneedles in the mold with tattoo ink and add a patch backing... .
